‘There have always been artists of the Alpine Club, since its formation in 1857, who have carried sketch books and paintings materials into the mountains, recording their experiences.This book aims to show something of the history behind our collection of some 600 pictures with biographical details and reproductions of the work of over 112 artists.
The second edition of this book will provide an invaluable source for archivists,museums and art galleries. The book contains 252 pages with high quality images in full-colour of most of the artists; section sewn with a case binding and dust jacket. It costs £25.00 pounds in the UK, 30 Euros, or $35 US dollars (plus P&P).
